Notifications

1. General

Notifications in brainX inform users about activities that are relevant to them — such as new comments, reminders, assigned tasks, or calendar entries.

A new notification is indicated by a colour change and a number badge on the notifications icon in the navigation bar.

Clicking the notifications icon opens a sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen.

2. Tabs

The notifications sidebar is divided into three tabs:

Notification Tabs

All – Shows all notifications
Unread – Shows only unread notifications
Archived – Shows archived notifications

3. Search

The search field at the top of the sidebar can be used to search notifications.

4. Actions – Mark as Read / Delete

Via the action icons at the top right of the sidebar, all notifications can be marked as read or deleted at once.

Mark all as read (checkmark icon) → Marks all notifications as read
Delete all (bin icon) → Deletes all notifications

5. Actions per Notification

On mouseover of a notification entry, action icons appear on the right-hand side.

Archive (box icon) → Archives the notification (moves it to the "Archived" tab)
Delete (bin icon) → Deletes the notification permanently

6. Read / Unread

Unread notifications are indicated with a coloured dot on the left side. Clicking on the notification marks it as read and removes the coloured dot.

7. Notification Types

7.1. Appointment Reminder

When an appointment reminder is triggered, a notification of type "Appointment" appears.

The notification contains a direct link to the appointment record. In addition, the Add to Calendar action (calendar icon) is available, which adds the appointment directly to the calendar.

7.2. Activity Notification

When a user is mentioned or tagged in an activity (e.g. a comment), a notification appears.

7.3. Import Notification

After a data import has been completed, a notification of type "Import" appears.

7.4. Comment Notification

When a new comment is added to a record that the user follows or is assigned to, a notification appears.
