Basic Settings

1. General

The "Basic Settings" area in "My Preferences" is divided into the following sections:

• 3. Display
• 4. Records

2. Localisation

Field	Description
Time zone	Time zone of the user
Date format	dd.mm.yyyy dd-mm-yyyy mm-dd-yyyy yyyy-mm-dd
Hour format	24 am/pm
Currency	The user's default currency, which is used when creating and displaying records. Amounts stored in other currencies are automatically converted for display.
Symbol placement	1.0$ $1.0
Decimal separator	, (comma) . (period) ' (apostrophe) Space none $
Grouping separator	, (comma) . (period) ' (apostrophe) Space none $

3. Display

Field	Description
Show side navigation in "Dashboard"?	Setting whether the side navigation is shown by default in the "Dashboard". If the user manually shows/hides the side navigation, this setting persists until the next login.
Show side navigation in "Information" tab?	Setting whether the side navigation is shown by default in the "Information" tab.

4. Records

Field	Description
Warn about duplicates?	Setting whether the user should be warned about duplicates when creating new records.
Duplicate check character threshold	Setting from how many characters entered the duplicate check in the list view (when duplicate search is active) starts showing results.
Duplicate search in list view?	Setting whether the duplicate search in the list view is active. When active, the CRM starts showing matching names as soon as text is entered in the search field, from the configured number of characters. It does not matter whether the entered text appears at the beginning of a word or elsewhere in the matching text.
Duplicate warning character threshold	Setting from how many characters entered duplicates are shown when creating a new record.
Return to source record after record conversion	Setting whether to return to the source record when a new record is created via "Actions" in the detail view.
Default options for comment notifications	Multi-select list with the values "CRM Notification" and "Email Notification" to set the default notification options for comment notifications.
Modules with extended quick creation	Selection list of modules for which quick creation opens directly with the extended input form. For these modules, the small quick creation form is skipped — the extended view appears immediately.
