General Settings
1. General
The General Settings tab contains system-wide configuration options for the client. This includes design settings, automation notifications, and security settings.
2. System Settings
2.1. Design Theme
The color theme of the brainX interface can be selected here. The following themes are available:

| Orange | Alternative theme with orange accents |
| Blue | Alternative theme with blue accents |
| Green | Alternative theme with green accents |
2.2. Automation Error Notifications
In this section, email recipients can be configured who should be notified in case of automation errors. This is particularly useful for monitoring automated workflows.

3. Security Settings
3.1. Session Validity
The session validity determines how long a user session remains active without activity:

| Session Validity (minutes) | Duration of inactivity after which the session expires and the user must log in again |
3.2. Password Rules
Password requirements for all users of the client can be configured here:

| Minimum Length | Minimum number of characters (recommended: at least 8) |
| Uppercase Required | At least one uppercase letter required |
| Number Required | At least one digit required |
| Special Character Required | At least one special character required |
| Password History | Number of previous passwords that cannot be reused |
3.3. IP Address Restrictions
Access to brainX can be restricted to specific IP addresses or IP ranges. When this option is active, only logins from the specified IP addresses are permitted.

If you activate IP restrictions, make sure that your own IP address is included in the list. Otherwise you will be locked out of the system.
3.4. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds an additional security layer for the login process:

| Optional | Users can voluntarily activate 2FA |
| Required | All users must use 2FA |
When 2FA is required, users are prompted to set up an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator) on their next login.
