brainx.help is a publicly accessible handbook describing the brainX software. There is no user account, no login and no ordering process. Apart from the feedback form described below, we collect no data you enter yourself.
Settings you make in the interface — the width of the sidebar and whether it is collapsed — are stored only in your own browser (local storage). They never reach us.
When you access this website, our server automatically records technical data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and version, and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the pages and to keep the server secure and stable (legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
These logs are deleted after 52 days. The IP address is not shortened in them.
We use Matomo to understand which pages of the handbook are read. Matomo runs on our own server (matomo.brainformatik.net). No data is passed to third parties; there is no transfer to countries outside the EU.
Only with your consent. Matomo is loaded only after you have agreed. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; the measurement then stops and the cookies described below are no longer set. Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG.

Matomo shortens your IP address before storing it (IP anonymisation). This is set on our Matomo server, not in the code of this website.
The handbook lists video tutorials and links to them on YouTube. The videos are not embedded — nothing from YouTube is played on our pages, and the preview images are delivered from our own server. Opening this website therefore establishes no connection to YouTube.
Only when you click such a link do you leave brainx.help and go to YouTube. From that moment the privacy policy of the respective provider applies; we have no influence on the data processing there and no knowledge of it.
Every page offers a form for feedback on the handbook. It transmits:
The submission runs through n8n, an automation tool operated on our own servers, and becomes a ticket in our own brainX system. That ticket is the only place where the data is stored. We use it solely to process your feedback. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the handbook (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR); for the voluntary contact details, your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), given by entering them.
Technically unavoidable: when the form is submitted, your browser also transmits the usual HTTP headers — including your IP address. These reach n8n and are recorded there, although we do not process them further and they are not part of the ticket.
These n8n execution logs are deleted automatically after 60 days.
Fonts, images and all other files of this website are delivered from our own server. No content is loaded from external providers, and no external fonts, maps, advertising or social media services are used.
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address starting with https:// and by the lock symbol in your browser.
You have the right at any time to:
To exercise these rights, an informal message to the address given above is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
We adapt this policy when the handbook changes technically. The current version always applies.
