1. General

Info

Zapier, developed by Zapier Inc., enables users to integrate various web applications and automate workflows.

Zapier is a user-friendly web service that allows actions between various web apps used daily to be automated. Creating Zaps between your apps saves time and automates many of the manual tasks you perform every day.

Zapier acts as a translator between web APIs to increase productivity through automation.

Note

Zapier is not a classic integration and is therefore also not available in the Global Settings.

2. Requirements

A prerequisite for use is an active account at Zapier.

The connection of Zapier to brainX is established via the brainX REST API. The documentation of the brainX REST API is accessible at:

3. Usage

In Zapier, automation processes are called "Zaps". Information on creating Zaps can be found in the Zapier Guides on the Zapier homepage.

Using Zaps, data can be automatically imported into brainX in the following modules:

Records can only be created! An update is not possible!

The field selection is static. All required fields as well as contact data can be transferred.

Example

The following use cases show typical applications of Zapier in conjunction with brainX:

Web form → Lead: A prospect fills out a contact form on the website (e.g. via Typeform, Gravity Forms or Google Forms). Zapier automatically transfers the entered data as a new record to the Leads module.
Email marketing → Contact: When a recipient registers via a sign-up form of an email marketing tool (e.g. Mailchimp or Brevo), a new record is automatically created in the Contacts module via Zapier.
Cross-CRM data migration → Account: When switching from another CRM system, company records can be transferred step by step to the Accounts module via Zapier.
Event registration → Campaign: When a participant registers for an event via an event portal (e.g. Eventbrite), a record is automatically created in the Campaigns module via Zapier.
